Imagine that you’re with your favorite music under lovely cloudy
weather. Isn’t is relaxing, romantic and rejuvenating? Of course, yes! Now Manali, away from frantic city life,
brings you a wonderful chance to enjoy superb music amid splendid natural grandeurs
and salubrious weather. This popular hill station in Himalaya is celebrating
‘Manali Summer Sundowners’ in June, where you may enjoy some of the best folk,
rock and fusion artists.
The shows in this a month long festival will be held every Friday
and Saturday, with the first one being organized at Manu Rangshala, Rambagh
amphitheatre at the Mall. The first day of the fest was superbly refreshing
started off with Kashmiri singer Saim Bhatt – the voice behind ‘Dil Sambhalja
Zara’ from Bollywood. Singers, musicians and artists from across the country
have reached Manali to woo the audience – both locals and travelers from
different corners of the country.
This music fest is a fusion of Indian music, rocks, jazz, blues
and reggae, and is based on a green theme to promote the concept of concert
tourism in India. It has been organized by Soul
Curators with the support of Himachal Tourism. Various interactive activities
including motorcycle tours, art & photography, hiking and natural walks are
also arranged by the organizing committee to attract more and more travelers. Also,
the organizers have started a cleanliness drive, where volunteers spread
awareness of environmental effects due to harmful plastics and other materials.
They request travelers to keep the hill station clean under this program.
